Recently I've been working on my look book; putting all the pages together and arranging and editing the images is taking a while but its nearly completed now. The trickiest part will be deciding what to put on the front cover, I am as yet undecided. Below are two of the images which will be included in the look book, they are both from the same collection which was the first project of the second year. The neckpiece on the left is made from many folded squares of fabric whilst the piece on the right is actually a much larger sample. But I have twisted and pinned it to create a neckpiece on the mannequin. The collection they are included in was inspired by natural and man made forms and features a colour palette of indigo blue, bright yellow and orange with white and ivory. I can't wait to see my look book finished and printed.
Last week I was on work experience at Bristol Costume Services, they have a massive amount of costumes which are rented out to theatres and TV for productions and performances and they also make costumes for specific productions. I was able to help with something quite exciting whilst I was there but I cannot reveal any details for a while. I'm going back on Tuesday to help with finishing it off and I'm very excited to see the finished results!
