I mentioned in my last post about vintage teacups, that I like to display my craft supplies. As well as teacups I use a lot of jars for keeping small craft items in. I love those tiny jars that you can get with jam in and I usually keep them for storing a few bits and pieces in. Sometimes I cover or decorate the lids of jars to make them a bit more interesting or they tend to just look like old jam jars. With this jar I decided to create a pincushion on the lid of the jar. I used some small pieces of Liberty print fabric to create the pincushion and it is filled with a bit of toy stuffing. It was quite a quick and simple project but it creates practical yet pretty storage for a few brooch backs and safety pins.
Welcome to my website The Perpetual Maker, I am Hannah, a 2nd year Textile Design for Fashion student specialising in embroidery. After writing a craft and fashion blog for almost three years I decided to create something which I could fully personalise to my taste. I have been interested in making for as long as I can remember and over the years I have tried and taught myself many different crafts. Its is rare that a day goes by and I haven't made anything or worked on something creative.
I dabble in a few different crafts but knitting, crochet, dressmaking and of course embroidery are my favourite creative pursuits. For now I have included a few photos of my recent projects and you can take a look in the gallery section of my site to see more. Thank you for reading and I hope you pay The Perpetual Maker a visit again.
