I've got right back into uni now, I have a new desk which is already in chaos as you can see below and my sketchbook seems to come with me everywhere. At the moment I'm constantly working on its pages. I'm currently in the research stages of my developing a specialism project which I mentioned in my last post. It draws inspiration from the juxtaposition between manmade and natural patterns and structures. So I've been looking at images of modern architecture and many aspects of nature and making collages from the patterns within these images. These collages will eventually be developed into ideas for manipulated fabric samples. So here are some images of my research process, do excuse the crisps on my desk, it was 3 o'clock snack time.
Welcome to my website The Perpetual Maker, I am Hannah, a 2nd year Textile Design for Fashion student specialising in embroidery. After writing a craft and fashion blog for almost three years I decided to create something which I could fully personalise to my taste. I have been interested in making for as long as I can remember and over the years I have tried and taught myself many different crafts. Its is rare that a day goes by and I haven't made anything or worked on something creative.
I dabble in a few different crafts but knitting, crochet, dressmaking and of course embroidery are my favourite creative pursuits. For now I have included a few photos of my recent projects and you can take a look in the gallery section of my site to see more. Thank you for reading and I hope you pay The Perpetual Maker a visit again.
